ZRP , applauds Teen Rescue Mission.


Assistant Commisioner and National Spokesperson of Zimbabwe Republic Police Paul Nyathi has applauded ,Teen Rescue Mission a non governmental organisation founded by Abraham Matuka for the work it is doing to empower youths.
Receiving a Musical CD from the founder and Director of Teen Rescue Mission Mr Abraham Matuka, the Asst Commisioner , appreciated TRM for the work that it is doing by engaging youths and involving them in activities that distants their minds from abusing drugs.
“Today as Teen Rescue Mission we are honoured to present our musical CD done by teens and youths from TRM on No to drugs, early pregnancy and crime in teens and youths at ZRP National Headquarters , said Mr Matuka.
Speaking after the musical hand over, Mr Major Chirombe TRM Public Relations Officer ,expressed his excitement on meeting the Assistant Commisioner and handing over the CD.
“We have seen a number of youths engaging into drugs, young girls getting pregnancies most being victims of rape.
“As an organisation we saw music as powerful tool to educate youths through highlighting the challenges in a song .
“We managed to have the teens themselves to put a voice on this song to end these challanges.”
He added that getting audience with the Assistant Commisioner and Spokesperson of ZRP made the project more valuable.
“As an organisation we are happy with the work ZRP is doing in fighting aganist these forms of abuse and we are just complimenting their work, he added
“We are also encouraging other stakeholders to come together and stand in the fight against drugs, early pregnancy and crime.”
“This will ensure that the next pool of leaders will be drug free.
